    Dog Transportation

Dogs are the moves we plan most often. We match the crate to your dog’s size, book around airline rules and summer heat limits, and plan the routing through Las Vegas (LAS) so nothing turns into a last-minute scramble on travel day.

  • Cat icon representing cat transportation services

    Cat Transportation

Cats travel best when the day stays calm and the waiting is short. We choose airline-approved carriers, sort out the cabin-or-cargo question early, and plan the schedule so your cat spends as little time at the airport as possible.

  • Green bird icon representing bird transportation services

    Bird Transportation

Birds need a little more care: species-specific paperwork, airline approval, and travel that holds a steady temperature. We walk you through the health certificates and routing so nothing slips through the cracks.

  • Hamster icon representing small mammal transportation services

    Small Mammals

Rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small pets travel in approved carriers on carefully timed routes. We confirm that the airline will accept your pet well before the date, so there are no surprises.

  • Iguana icon representing reptile and exotic pet transportation services

    Reptiles and Exotic Pets

Reptiles and exotic pets each come with their own rules. We review the airline policies and temperature requirements one by one and build a route that genuinely suits your animal, not a one-size-fits-all plan.

Nearest Airport In Las Vegas With Pet Services:

Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) Location: Approximately 5 miles south of downtown Las Vegas. Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is well-equipped for domestic and international pet relocations, offering pet-friendly airlines, animal cargo handling, customs support, and convenient pet relief areas. Nearby veterinary and boarding services ensure additional care and accommodations for pets traveling through Las Vegas.

  • Customs and USDA Inspection Services:

For international pet relocations, LAS customs facilities coordinate with USDA and animal health officials to verify documentation and manage the arrival of pets in compliance with international regulations.

  • Pet Relief Areas:

LAS provides several pet relief areas for convenience: Pre-Security: Outdoor pet relief areas are located near terminal entrances, offering grassy spaces and waste disposal facilities. Post-Security: Indoor pet relief stations are available in Terminals 1 and 3, allowing pets traveling in-cabin to take breaks without leaving the secure area.

  • Who actually handles your pet at LAS

AGI runs the cargo warehouse at 6055 Surrey Street, Suite 114, and that is where a pet booked on Alaska Air Cargo Pet Connect is dropped off and collected. Drop-off and collection run Monday to Friday, 4:00am to 5:00pm, and 7:00am to 3:00pm at weekends. The weekday counter closes earlier here than at most stations, so an evening departure will not work. American Airlines Cargo is the other option here, and the only one of the big three still running a public live animal program: Delta and United carry pets in the hold only for active military and State Department moves. USDA endorsement is fastest through VEHCS, the routine VEHCS desk is staffed Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm Central, and there is no in-person or drop-off service anywhere.

  • Temperature limits and ground handling:

Airlines decide whether a pet flies, not the airport. Most US carriers refuse an animal in the hold when the forecast ground temperature at any point on the itinerary sits outside roughly 45F to 85F, and they layer seasonal embargoes on top of that. Between drop-off and loading your pet waits in the cargo handler building rather than a dedicated animal terminal, so the acceptance window and the handler opening hours are what a travel date has to be built around.

Tips for Pet Relocation through Las Vegas

  • Book Early for International Pet Travel. Given the high travel volume at LAS, booking early ensures access to pet-friendly flights and provides sufficient time to arrange required health documentation and travel crates.

  • Prepare Health and Import Documentation. Ensure pets meet the health requirements of both US and the destination country. This includes securing vaccinations, health certificates, and any required import permits.

  • Choose stable routing when possible, especially for longer flights.
  • Keep documentation consistent (names, microchip numbers, dates) for international travel.
  • Practice carrier/crate comfort ahead of travel day to reduce stress.

FAQ

Can pets fly out of Las Vegas during the summer heat?

Las Vegas summers are the biggest factor in timing a pet’s flight. Through the hottest months, ramp temperatures often climb past the limits airlines set for animals in cargo, and many carriers pause pet acceptance during the warmest part of the day. We plan Las Vegas moves around that, booking early-morning or overnight departures from Harry Reid or shifting the window so your pet is never left waiting in the heat.

Will my pet fly out of LAS?

Most Las Vegas-area pets depart from Harry Reid International (LAS), the main airport for the area. When it does not have the right routing for your dates, we plan around a nearby hub to keep the journey short. We handle the check-in timing and the airline’s crate and booking rules so the airport day stays calm and predictable.

Do you offer door-to-door pet transport from Las Vegas?

Yes. Many Las Vegas families want the whole move handled, so we can arrange ground pickup from your home, the airport hand-off, and delivery at the other end. One coordinator stays with the journey from your Las Vegas door to the destination.

Can you ship a pet overseas from Las Vegas?

Yes. Las Vegas has limited direct international service, so many overseas moves connect through a larger gateway. We plan the full route from your Las Vegas pickup through that connection and prepare the destination country’s import paperwork. See our destination guides for what each country requires.

What parts of the Las Vegas area do you pick up from?

We arrange pickups across Las Vegas and nearby communities like Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Paradise, and we serve the wider area through our Southwest service area, which also covers Reno and Phoenix.

How is the cost of a Las Vegas pet move decided?

Every Las Vegas move is priced on its own, because the route, airline fees, your pet’s size and crate, the season, and the destination’s rules all change the total. Tell us where and when, and we’ll put together an estimate: request a quote. For a closer look at what drives the price, see our guide to pet shipping costs.
