Types of Pets We Transport

  • Pug icon representing dog transportation services

    Dog Transportation

Dogs are the moves we plan most often. We match the crate to your dog’s size, book around airline rules and summer heat limits, and plan the routing through Orlando (MCO) so nothing turns into a last-minute scramble on travel day.

  • Cat icon representing cat transportation services

    Cat Transportation

Cats travel best when the day stays calm and the waiting is short. We choose airline-approved carriers, sort out the cabin-or-cargo question early, and plan the schedule so your cat spends as little time at the airport as possible.

  • Green bird icon representing bird transportation services

    Bird Transportation

Birds need a little more care: species-specific paperwork, airline approval, and travel that holds a steady temperature. We walk you through the health certificates and routing so nothing slips through the cracks.

  • Hamster icon representing small mammal transportation services

    Small Mammals

Rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small pets travel in approved carriers on carefully timed routes. We confirm that the airline will accept your pet well before the date, so there are no surprises.

  • Iguana icon representing reptile and exotic pet transportation services

    Reptiles and Exotic Pets

Reptiles and exotic pets each come with their own rules. We review the airline policies and temperature requirements one by one and build a route that genuinely suits your animal, not a one-size-fits-all plan.

Nearest Airport In Orlando With Pet Services:

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the primary airport for pet air travel in Central Florida and supports both domestic and international routes. It offers designated pet relief areas and accommodations for service animals.

  • Pet Relief Areas:

Indoor Relief Areas: Located post-security in the main terminal and near gates in both Terminals A and B. These areas are equipped with artificial grass, cleaning supplies, and waste disposal bins for convenience. Outdoor Relief Areas: Available outside the terminal on both the north and south sides. These spaces provide open areas for pets to stretch and relieve themselves before entering the terminal.

  • Who actually handles your pet at MCO

Air General runs the cargo warehouse at 9463 Benford Road, and that is where a pet booked on Alaska Air Cargo Pet Connect is dropped off and collected. Drop-off and collection run Monday to Friday, 5:00am to 8:00pm. The counter is closed Saturday and Sunday, so an Orlando pet move has to fall on a weekday. American Airlines Cargo is the other option here, and the only one of the big three still running a public live animal program: Delta and United carry pets in the hold only for active military and State Department moves. USDA endorsement is fastest through VEHCS, the routine VEHCS desk is staffed Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm Central, and there is no in-person or drop-off service anywhere.

  • International Pet Travel:

MCO serves as a gateway for international pet relocations to destinations in Europe, South America, and the Caribbean. Some airlines operating out of MCO, such as Lufthansa and British Airways, provide specialized international pet transport options. Orlando International Airport is well-suited for both domestic and international pet relocation, with facilities designed to ensure the comfort and safety of pets. However, for pets traveling internationally, preparation of all necessary travel documents and adherence to destination-specific requirements are essential.

  • Temperature limits and ground handling:

Airlines decide whether a pet flies, not the airport. Most US carriers refuse an animal in the hold when the forecast ground temperature at any point on the itinerary sits outside roughly 45F to 85F, and they layer seasonal embargoes on top of that. Between drop-off and loading your pet waits in the cargo handler building rather than a dedicated animal terminal, so the acceptance window and the handler opening hours are what a travel date has to be built around.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can pets fly out of Orlando during the summer heat?

Orlando summers are the biggest factor in timing a pet’s flight. Through the hottest months, ramp temperatures often climb past the limits airlines set for animals in cargo, and many carriers pause pet acceptance during the warmest part of the day. We plan Orlando moves around that, booking early-morning or overnight departures from MCO or shifting the window so your pet is never left waiting in the heat.

Will my pet fly out of MCO?

Most Orlando-area pets depart from Orlando International (MCO), the main airport for the area. When it does not have the right routing for your dates, we plan around a nearby hub to keep the journey short. We handle the check-in timing and the airline’s crate and booking rules so the airport day stays calm and predictable.

Do you offer door-to-door pet transport from Orlando?

Yes. Many Orlando families want the whole move handled, so we can arrange ground pickup from your home, the airport hand-off, and delivery at the other end. One coordinator stays with the journey from your Orlando door to the destination.

Can you ship a pet overseas from Orlando?

Yes. Orlando has limited direct international service, so many overseas moves connect through a larger gateway. We plan the full route from your Orlando pickup through that connection and prepare the destination country’s import paperwork. See our destination guides for what each country requires.

What parts of the Orlando area do you pick up from?

We arrange pickups across Orlando and nearby communities like Kissimmee, Winter Park, Sanford, Lake Mary, and we serve the wider area through our South & Islands service area, which also covers Tampa and Jacksonville.

How is the cost of a Orlando pet move decided?

Every Orlando move is priced on its own, because the route, airline fees, your pet’s size and crate, the season, and the destination’s rules all change the total. Tell us where and when, and we’ll put together an estimate: request a quote. For a closer look at what drives the price, see our guide to pet shipping costs.
